Salvation – Free For Nothing

Earlier today while shopping, I overheard an announcement: “Attention customers, we are giving away FREE paring knives by the refrigerated foods.” I honestly tell you, within three minutes, there must have been 40 people gathered around that retailer’s booth. After a 30-minute demonstration, he handed out the free paring knives valued at $5 each. Wow, what a bargain!

It is amazing to see that the word “free” is a magic word. It unites the wealthy penny-pinchers and the poverty-stricken homeless people. If you simply just whisper the word “free,” you would be trampled by the masses. It is a tragic fact that our world enjoys getting fooled by gimmicks. The general public believes any old thing they hear—no wonder false teaching in churches is so successful these days!

Suppose we made the following announcement: “God is freely giving away eternal life to anyone who is willing to have simple faith in the Gospel of Grace, how that Christ died for your sins and paid for everything that is wrong with you, and He was raised for your justification. You just need to trust in Him for salvation!” Everyone would pause for one second, and then continue shopping as though they were deaf. Even if you did get a crowd, they would only be there to refute you while holding some denominational handbook. They would accuse you of false teaching before they would the spiritual swindlers in our midst today!

I have some wonderful news for you. Salvation is free to you today! There is no wealth necessary… no water baptism needed… no high social status needed… no tongues needed… no penance needed… no confession… no walking an aisle… no joining a church… nothing is needed but SIMPLE FAITH. But how many poor people just will never see heaven’s glory because they refused to come to God by faith, but rather trying to merit God’s favor with works.

Salvation is 100% free, guaranteed. “NO REFUNDS” because you will not regret it!

Romans 3:23-28 KJV:

“23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation [a substitution, a sacrifice] through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness:
26 That he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.”
