Life Lessons Gained from the Scriptures (by Nolan Guilbeau)

One is either a friend of Jesus Christ of the Scriptures or an enemy—there is no neutral ground. Christians as well can become enemies of Christ by simply failing to present to his fellow man the simple gospel plan of salvation and lift up Christ’s finished work of redemption at Calvary’s cross.

According to Scriptures the un-regenerated (unbelievers) with all their good works and intentions—defined “synergism”—assisting God to merit His favor are and remain the natural enemies of Christ. They attempt to add to the finished work of Christ by their own righteousness. “For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God” (Romans 10:3).

When Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus, Judas made his appearance in the garden of Gethsemane for the purpose of publicly identifying the Savior before a crowd of high priests and Roman soldiers. Although Judas finally revealed himself as a depraved character and a counterfeit believer, he didn’t attempt to hide his identity. This is unlike some of the nonperson bloggers who use monikers (screen names) and persistently make snide remarks especially when Bible-believing Christian writings are published. In all honesty they reveal themselves to the public with the characteristic of hypocrites, cowards, as uncultured, without honor, reflecting this world’s ungodly system and in desperate need of the Spirit of Christ. They present themselves as intellectuals hiding their identity behind disguised names making nonsensical comments.

But, of course, this is America, and no one would deny them of their freedom of speech. Christians are also entitled to this privilege, unless we as a society have regressed to the Dark Ages as in the period of the Inquisition instituted by a debauched, tyrannical and controlling religious system.

The spirit of antichrist in this world wants to silence/censor the genuine Christian and the true gospel message of Christ of the Scriptures because they fear we might be right! The gospel message is foolishness to those who are lost (I Corinthians 1:18). However, if the Christian writer’s messages of quoting Scripture are offensive to some, there is no need to despair, turn in sincerity and humility to the Scriptures ask the Lord for understanding, or simply turn the page!

The prophet Jeremiah and King David wrote, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9) “Through thy precepts, I get understanding, therefore, I hate every FALSE way” (Psalms 119:104).

Application of this latter verse of Scripture can solve many of life’s problems by acquiring Biblical understanding. The Lord gives an invitation for all to “come to him.” According to Scriptures one can experience a life-changing miracle defined as eternal “salvation” of the human soul! (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Timothy 2:3-6; Titus 3:5).
